The nearest airport, with direct flights from Delhi, referred to alternately as Kangra, Gaggal, or Dharamshala airport, is 50 KMs from Dharohar. Once you reach Gaggal Airport, you can hire a taxi for the 2 hrs beautiful hilly ride to reach us. We can arrange a pickup to bring you home. Note: During winters (Dec-Feb) or monsoons (July-Aug), flights may be rescheduled or even cancelled due to weather conditions. For plan B, please look up trains or buses.

The nearest rail head is at Amb Andaura, HP. There is a direct train from New Delhi to Amb. For the onward journey of 114 Kms to Dharohar Cottages, you may rent a cab. In just over 3 hours, the taxi will bring you straight to our doorstep, in time for lunch. We can arrange a pickup to bring you home.

We recommend the Government-operated, Volvo bus service by HRTC. These are reliable, comfortable, known to be punctual, and saves you precious daytime. This 10-12 hours journey starts from ISBT (Kashmiri Gate), New Delhi and ends at Baijnath (just 4 kms from Dharohar). From Baijnath, we can arrange a pickup to bring you home.

For those who prefer to self-drive, you would love the highways and the mountain roads. New Delhi to Dharohar is 526 kms and it takes about 10-11 hours with 2 short breaks of 30 mins. Technology has made it very easy: just open Google maps on your smartphone and type your destination as "Dharohar Cottages Baijnath" and get guidance on the best routes available. if you are planning to start your journey from Delhi, we recommend an early start (around 4 am).
