The name Swara means a musical note. Cottage swara is located on1st floor with mountain view in front. Cottage swara boasts of 2 Skylights embedded on the roof for natural light to come in during the day and turn up as unique star gazing experience at night.

The name Rachna means a beautiful creation. Cottage Rachna is located on 1st floor facing the mountains and boasts of 3 side balcony with wood flooring. There are 2 Skylights embedded on the roof for natural light to come in during the day and act as unique star gazing experience at night.

The name Bhavya is derived from Sanskrit word which means auspicious and fortunate. Cottage Bhavya is located on 1st floor facing the mountains. Bhavya has the best view of the Dhauladhar mountains and boasts of large workstation table and unmatched views.

The name Padma means lotus flower of Hindu goddess Laxmi. Cottage Padma is located on 1st floor with valley and garden view in front. Cottage Padma boasts of sun kissed rooms and large open terrace area.

The name Yahvi has its origins from world's oldest written language Sanskrit. The word Yahvi means the union of heaven and earth. Cottage Yahvi is located on ground floor facing large garden area and Gazebo.

The name Bhumi is the name of Hindu goddess of Earth. Cottage Bhumi is located on ground floor with mountain view in front. It also boasts of a small private garden just outside the verenda.

Munish's homestay was exactly what we were seeking. It lived up to our expectations, and more. If you're looking to get away from all things city, this place is worth every penny. Peaceful, relaxed and quiet, it's the kind of place that allows you to slow down and step away from the everyday stresses of city life. Ideal for staycations, remote work, or simply taking a healing, recuperative break in nature. Munish and his family are warm, generous hosts who make sure you feel at home and comfortable throughout your stay. The food is wholesome, nourishing and delicious, keeping you healthy and agile as you explore the lovely villages and nearby towns of Himachal, including Bir and the monastery towns close by. The aesthetic sensibility, combined with the forest trails, nature, and the warmth of the village community, made for a truly restorative break! I'd strongly recommend it to anyone seeking peace, quiet, and the possibility of a few serendipitous adventures in the mountains!

We spent a little over a month at Dharohar Cottages, and it was one of the most peaceful and memorable stays we've ever had.The setting is simply beautiful. Surrounded by greenery, mango and litchi trees, with stunning views of the snow-capped mountains, it is the perfect place to unwind. Every morning began with birdsong and a cup of tea on the balcony—a routine we'll truly miss.The cottages are spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. While the afternoons were a bit warm during our stay, the room cooler was more than adequate and kept us comfortable throughout.The hospitality deserves special appreciation. The hosts are incredibly warm, caring, and thoughtful. The food was another highlight of our stay. Everything was fresh, homely, and delicious, but the authentic Himachali meals were exceptional. A special mention for the chef Manjeet for the awesome food . Dharohar Cottages is a hidden gem. We arrived as guests and left feeling like a family .

There are couple of cozy cafes serving authentic Tibetan food along with few restaurants and dhaba’s for north Indian delicacies within walking distance from our home.

Sight Seeing
We are centrally located to lot of places for sight seeing. Bir , Andretta pottery , Palampur are all nearby. Ask us and will help you plan your sight seeing trips.

Hikes and Outdoors
Let go of your apprehensions and get on with some Himalayan adventures to satiate your adrenaline rush!
Being in the lap of a mountain range, there are plenty of hikes around Dharohar Cottages. You could simply walk off in any direction to explore nearby places on foot or, better yet, ask us to accompany you to some of the vantage points.

Day Tours
Bir-Billing, Monastery tour , Temple tour, Tea Factory Tour, Waterfall trip and more are easily doable. We will be glad to help and recommend places for you to explore.

Adventure Sports
If you ever wanted to fly, this could be your chance to do it…and not just do it anywhere but do it at Bir-Billing! Considered to be the paragliding capital of India, the 2nd best international paragliding site (host to world championships), it is just 20 minutes drive from Dharohar Cottages.

In-House Kitchen
Food is an integral part of Dharohar Cottages. Enjoy the authentic taste of Himachali cuisine from our kitchen, with recipes passed on from generations. We cook seasonal veggies, fruits, and even flowers, some of which are only found in the wild, and not cultivated.
These special delicacies are slowly becoming extinct and we would not be surprised if you haven’t heard or read about them. We love to promote these rare delicacies and in the process offer you a taste of Himachali gems.
