Dharphar Rachna is a secluded cottage roght above the Kitchen. The place was peaceful, neat & clean and has a lush green surroundings. The stay was comfortable and peaceful. Meals were homely with a touch of himachali cousine and you can eat them without thinking twice. They have prepared meals as per our recommendations also. Overall a good place for a mental and physical detox. The only thing is to mention is the Washroom in Dharohar Rachna is outside the Room and you have to go in the balcony area to use it. Other things are 10/10.

A little piece of paradise. Thanks to Munish, his family and the team for a lovely stay. I fully recommend this sanctuary set in nature and with awe-inspiring views of the mountains. I had some work to do and the internet worked really well and it was great to have the option of home-cooked food, my own cooking or nearby restaurants. The area is great for walking and i visited the local Tashi Jong monastery. If i come back to the area i would love to return and am deeply grateful to Munish for the care and attention he puts into ensuring his guests have a comfortable stay suited to their needs.

I was bitten by a dog during my stay, which forced me to cancel my trip midway due to this unexpected incident. Despite explaining the situation and the significant costs I had to bear because of the early cancellation, the owner declined to provide any refund.While a refund is often what customers seek in such situations, for me it was equally about understanding and empathy. Unfortunately, both were missing from the communication.I would advise future guests to choose this place carefully, as the response to an unforeseen and serious situation did not reflect sensitivity or customer care.

I recently stayed at this beautiful Airbnb and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The property is set amidst stunning natural surroundings, offering complete peace and serenity. The highlight for me was the breathtaking view of the Dhauladhar range — visible right from the balcony — a sight that never gets old, especially during sunrise and sunset.The rooms are beautifully crafted, with attention to detail and an aesthetic charm that blends modern comfort with traditional Himachali touches. I especially loved the wooden ceiling and the view of trees right from the kitchen, giving the whole space a cozy, nature-connected feel.The Himachali food prepared by the in-house chef was delicious and authentic — every meal felt home-cooked yet gourmet. A big thanks to Munish for his warm hospitality and for making sure everything was well taken care of during our stay.There’s also ample space for car parking, which made the experience even more convenient.

It is a beautiful place. Close to Billing and Shelabling Monastery. The views from the property are nice, and it's a comfortable and nice property. There is home cooked food avavilable at reasonable prices.The property is short bus ride away Palampur. Palampur has good restaurants and tea gardens.Also, I liked the use of Solar Panel for hot water and it's pretty effective. There's a sun roof in the property which was pretty unique.

We had a wonderful weekend stay . Munish and his parents are amazing hosts, very humble and polite. The place is accessible yet secluded, providing the peaceful environment we all crave for. Munish has spent all of time and effort in designing and furnishing the place and it clearly shows.
Despite the fact that this being rainy season and it was cloudy throughout and we didn't get to see Dhauladhar from our room, the rains has its own charm with all the greenery around.
The food was delightful and so much better than what you get normally in restaurants in Himachal.
Even though we stayed for only couple of days, we really felt at home and would love to come back again for a longer stay.

We had a peaceful and memorable stay at Dharohar Swara. The location is serene, with stunning views of the Himalayas—perfect for working remotely and unwinding with family. They were also kind enough to accommodate a late checkout request so I could finish an important work meeting. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed. Another plus is, you get home made food, same as what the family eats! But if you prefer to eat out, there's a full fledged local market nearby, and few very good cafes!

This is the perfect place if you want a peaceful stay surrounded by nature and with all the requirements of modern life.
Loved walking around to explore, knowing there was a calm and quiet room to get back to.
What’s even more special about Munish’s place are the people. Everybody is warm and kind while still giving you space.
And the cherry on top? The food! You must have at least a few meals at the dining area; everything is fresh and homely and just delicious!
I also particularly appreciated the attention paid to the small details like marking switches with power backup access, and many other tiny things.
This is a very thoughtfully designed homestay you’ll love to revisit multiple times. It’s also perfect for remote work; I could easily manage my calls etc.

Rachna Cottage is a lovely and peaceful mountain stay, perfect for remote work and relaxation. The surrounding nature, well-kept property, and homely food add to the charm. Would definitely recommend for a nature-focused, homely retreat!

Washroom is not attached, but right outside the door (clearly informed at the time of booking by the host), but can be slightly inconvenient at night.

Munish's place feels like a home away from home. It's a calm, serene and a beautiful property, with each cottage having its own privacy. The food is simply amazing, with local Himachali delicacies, some of which were home grown, allowing you to have the farm to plate experience first-hand. The property has some great views of snow-clad Dhauladhar range.

Uncle and aunty are the sweetest. We chatted a lot with them and experienced local festivals with them too. Munish and his family's hospitality is excellent and this place is very warm and welcoming. Had a great stay and will definitely visit again.

- One would have to just be self sufficient with your own toiletries and cooking ingredients for use of the kitchen.
- My aim was to visit the nearby Baijnath temple and also discovered a really nice monastery further up the road with a bunch of small cages for someone who’d like to head out for a stroll.
- The small common area which is where the meals are served also has a really eclectic collection of books
- I hope to revisit this pretty home stay!

Munish ji was a great host. We had a fantastic time! The cottage is located in a beautiful spot, and you can view the snow capped mountains right from your balcony. The in-house dining also had great food and local dishes and is a must try!

This stay is what you need when you want to escape the city pollution and daily crowds. We had the best week here in the middle of nature and surrounded by mountains. The food at Tripti gave us exactly what we needed on this detox trip. Siddu is a MUST try.

Out of everywhere I have stayed in India over the last 8 months this is the place I felt most peaceful and happy. The cottage was so comfortable and spacious, I loved the balcony to sit on and read or watch the mountains. The bedroom got cold at night but there were some thick blankets, so I slept well. The home-made food was delicious, I mostly joined for breakfast as lunch and supper were a bit late for me. Munish and his family were so kind and welcoming and helpful with any problem or query, it was a lovely atmosphere and I was delighted to get to meet Tenzin Palmo in her nunnery just ten minutes away. If you want a retreat from the world and to do some writing and sorting of your mind and life this is the perfect spot.

Most peaceful trip I have taken in my life. No hassle, no chaos. What was shown in the pictures, the BNB is better in reality. I was there for a wedding and honestly I just couldn’t wait to come to my BNB and just look at the views from my porch or breathe in the fresh air. Munish is easily the best host one can ask for. He’s kind, helpful, very direct with his instructions and very responsive. This place will feel like a hug.

Munish’s place made me feel at home instantly. He’s the sweetest, always up for conversation and helpful beyond words! I went alone, I didn’t know anything about the locality, he’s been mighty kind in telling me about things to do nearby. He’s helped my long distance friends plan my birthday. He’s super respectful about your privacy as well. He arranged for my airport pickup and drop.. All in all, I had a perfect trip, without any hiccups, thanks to Munish. Definitely going back.

Munish‘s place - Dharohar Cottages - is very nice and comfortable. Munish is extremely friendly and helpful. He had chalked out a detailed itinerary for us. We followed it and really enjoyed. The property is very scenic as was described on the website. You get a great view of the mountains from there. The sunrise was spectacular.
The food was awesome. The food that the family eats is the same that they serve to the guests too. It was Himachali cuisine which was prepared by their cook - Manjeet. We had good company of his parents too. They are lovely people. And his dog, Oscar is very friendly.

This was a last minute plan and honestly couldn't have been better. The amount of effort that Munish puts in to make your stay as homely as possible is applaudable. The property is a serene abode with breathtaking views right from the bed. Away from the hustle and bustle, a peaceful experience.
The food:
The property has an in-house dining hall(really beautiful) where you'll get to have simple and amazing Himachali food. The hall has a great decor and a chill vibe with an amazing playlist.
The views:
Can't get enough of them. The mornings start with a view of the mighty Dhauladhar Range standing in front of you, the noon brings you a soothing sunbath that you wouldn't want to leave, the evenings are for chasing sunsets and the nights you have the stars and constellations right above your head with a bonfire in the beautiful gardens of the property.

Host familly looked after us well. Hilight of the place is cleanliness, home cooked like simple and delicious food. Pine wood furniture & beds in rooms added elegance to the place. Kitchen was well equipped. Guests can cook their own meals if they wish so. 24 hour availability of hot water was another plus point. Enjoyed every bit. Would definitely return sometime again.

We had a lovely stay at Dharohar Cottages. We instantly felt comfortable. Munish and his family were very warm and inviting. The meals were delicious and just what we needed. The cuisine was mostly Himachali and absolutely mouth watering. The kitchen is also well equipped to make your own meals if you wish. We had a great stay at Dharohar Cottage. Mr Munish was extremely helpful and helped out in recommendation. Full marks in hospitality. And the space he has created is very beautiful, small details have been taken care of and the interiors of the room are also very well planned. Overall I will definitely recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful gateway, to enjoy the slow life. The property was exactly as described and offered excellent value for money in a beautiful setting. Moreover, the hosts were very hospitable, and the food served in their onsite restaurant was of excellent quality and value.

No Words to describe the Host, stay and property. Stayed for 3N and it even seems less. Munish was always there to help. Even Uncle ji and aunty ji were also very humble and sweet. One should atleast visit the place once. Full of nature and peace. Highly recommended for families looking for a place away from hustle and also at the same time near to market and eateries. Weather is also pleasant. Morning walk is a must. Will be definitely visiting again in winter's.

Munish's place is absolutely amazing. The cottages are airy, spacious, and tastefully done. If you are looking for a non mainstream stay / experience (beyond hotels and living in towns). Munish and family are kind and amazing hosts. They make you feel right at home with their warmth and amazing homely food. To top it all up, they gave us a really nice send-off with some amazing local food for breakfast and a bunch of orchard grown litchies. We were a family of four and had a really peaceful and enjoyable stay. I think the place is really underrated and under priced for what it offers.
